Willie Crockett was born and grew up on quaint Tangier Island in the Chesapeake bay and speaks with the strong old English dialect unique to that legendary island. Willie can often be found in his studio, located at 39 Market St., Onancock, VA. He is best known for his wildlife watercolors, but also offers beautiful oil paintings. He paints with the strength of a life-long, intimate knowledge of a Chesapeake Bay heritage. Willie brings to life not only the Eastern Shore's landscape, marsh and wildlife, but the mystery of the Greater Chesapeake Bay. His brush expresses the beauty of Nature wherever it is found.
Willie Crockett's work is exhibited yearly in many East Coast shows. He has demonstrated his painting technique at various charity events, including being a favorite at the annual Ducks Unlimited dinner. Willie was named Artist of the Year by Ducks Unlimited of the Eastern Shore. Mr. Crockett has been teaching watercolor classes for many successful years.
Crockett Gallery offers special art workshops. His instructional
art courses are a marvelous way to learn Willie's style and are available on DVD or for Download. Original watercolor, oil and limited
edition prints are available on our site. We also work closely with other concerned environmental and educational organizations offering
